Hey, it's a great game, but I thought the controls a bit weird. It doesn't seem super snappy, and jump+dash+jump+dash feels like too many sequence controls for moving around.
Are you still working on it?
Hi, thank you for the feedback!
Yes, we are still working on it. You can join our Discord to talk with us directly (or use this platform, of course).
Could you describe in more detail what bothers you about the movement? I’d like to understand better how to improve this "snappiness," lol.
As for the Jump, Dash, Jump, Dash sequence, it offers an interesting range of options. In this alpha version, we don’t give the player much room to experiment, but we will fix that when the game demo is released. I believe that with mastery of the mechanics, the game will feel less frustrating and more strategic.
Sure, when I click to move it seems like it takes a fraction of a second for the character start moving. This becomes more apparent when the player moves horizontally for some time and let go the button, because players can see the character moving for a brief time without any button pressed.
I'm playing with a keyboard, so it's a bit weird, it should stop immediately after I release the button. Same thing for the dash, it looks like there's a small delay.
Maybe it's related to the animation or you're adding up the input and reducing it in multiple frames instead of setting it to zero.
Excellent! Took half an hour with 112 deaths.
My only nitpick is that breaking platforms look similar to regular platforms.
Other than that, solid work!
We need to change the breaking platform art ASAP.
Thank you for playing and for your feedback.
extremely hard platforming here ! i had to give up at this stage -

due to the seemingly impossible bit after the moving platforms , i cant get down the diagonal shaft after them when ive tried at least 100 times ...
a few things i would change
the fps display in the top left is useless , bin it and replace with a screen / stage number instead to make it easier to identify where you are in the game .
some respawn points need moving to avoid annoying repetition of awkward parts , once youve managed to pull it off once that should be enough !
crowns - once youve got them that should be it , they shouldnt reappear if you die ( i noticed some do that in earlier stages )
platforms that fall apart when you use them are not obvious - maybe put a red ring around them or make them a diierent colour , something to warn the player that they are one touch only
controls are perfect for me so i wouldnt change anything there
im currently on 400+ deaths as its so bloody hard but that should tell you i like it !
This is the final screen for now, but we’ll improve it in future versions.
We need better indicators to show if you’ve picked up the crown or not. The crown must be taken to a specific point to be collected.
